How do I log a fishing trip where I didn't catch any fish?
To enter a fishing log where you did not catch any fishing, you need to specify that you caught 0 fish. To do this, do the following:
- In the Fish Species section, choose a fish from the Fish Species drop-down list that you were planning to catch on your trip.
- Enter zeroes in the first row under Number and Avg Size.
How do I have Fish Swami automatically notify my fishing friends and partners when I have entered a new fishing log?
Once you are logged in to Fish Swami, do the following steps for each fishing partner you want to have automatically notified:
- Click on the "My Fishing Info" main menu item.
- On the "My Fishing Information" page, click on the My Fishing Partners link.
- On the "Fishing Partners" page, click the "edit" link next to the fishing partner you want to have notified.
- On the "Fishing Partner Edit" page, make sure the fishing partner has a valid e-mail address entered. By the "Notify on log entry" field, select the "Yes" radio button. Click the "Edit" button.
How do I specify water depth, fish depth, location, presentation or other information for each individual fish?
- In the Fish Species section, select the first fish species for fish you caught on your fishing trip.
- Click the "show optional fields" link - this will display several input boxes for each fish caught.
