Notes

Left the Aspen valley in chase of what we heard was a great day before (Saturday) on the Eagle. Dude in fly shop said that a couple of girls guided the day before boated double digits each.

Well we missed the hot action, our boat along with the 8 or so other boats had a tough go at it today. We worked the numphs hard hoping to get some action with PTs and Caddae Pupae. Nothing was producing with the nymphs. I believe one rainbow was landed off of a nymph, not sure. We all boated one fish.

Within the last thirty minutes of the float the caddis really started to come off, fish were rising intermitantly, but not hitting the few stimulators and caddis we threw at them.

Lesson: put on later or before all of the boats that are hitting the river.
