Notes

1 Hour post work fishing trip in the Port. Began working a Storm minnow across the shallow section of the port with only one hit, on the far southern edge. I believe it was a Jack. I lost the fish, then switched to a Pink DOA for a few casts with no action. I believed I was headed for a fishless morning, when I decided to try the deep water edge of the Port and drop a Brown weighted Jig all the way to the bottom. Then, I retrieved slowly, hooking into a 1lb Jack who turned sideways, making me think I had a nice one. Pulled it up to the pier without breaking the line. Hooked into another fish the same way just minutes later, but lost him. Worked my way back to the car, then caught my first Port Flounder right near the car. I gave it to a man who was Flounder fishing. It needed to be 12", but measured 13". It seemed like the right thing to do.
