Notes
Finally! Finally . . . I cast a silver Kastmaster with the bucktail into the deeper water on the smaller side of the pond and . . . a 15-16" pickerel hit it. A couple of casts later and a 1ft long version took the bait.
Nothing more, so I switched sides and cast without luck.
This is repeating the pattern of last year - where I would get a couple of pickerel on the small side, but no more. Maybe they get spooked.
A environmental police guy checked my license - the first time this has happened.
