Notes
Trout stocking began today at this location. But not when I first arrived. I worked my up the bank, catching a greedy little perch at the second bench. It fought harder than yesterday's pickerel.
Nothing with either spin or power corn at the culvert so I walked back to the car before being told that were they had stocked right by the boat ramp. I headed over and fished for about 50 minutes in the cold and intermittent rain.
I noticed that the more experienced power-baiters were watching for the slightest tug on the line. I almost missed Wednesday's trout - they have to virtually drag the rod in before it registers that they have taken the bait. I will have to pay closer attention I guess . . .
