Notes

I left Spokane early in the morning and made my way to the Upper Clark Fork. I arrived sometime between 11:00am and noon. Troy showed up a little later. As usual, the most productive fishing holes near the spillway were already lined with people so I walked downstream a little ways and caught one nice brown before Troy showed up.

It rained on us all day, but fishing was fair. Toward evening, the rain drove everyone off except for Troy and I cause we're diehards. After everyone left, we managed to get up and fish the spillway holes and as usual, started catching a lot of trout. Troy took stomach samples from a lot of the fish we caught from different areas of the river, and scuds and midges made up the diet as expected.

After a while, my hands got cold from fishing in the rain all day long. My fingers started curling to the point where I couldn't straighten them. Weird. Troy had a good laugh over that. So we decided it was best to call it quits and go warm up.

One particular brown over 20" was memorable as it took me for a nice little walk way downstream before I could land it. A beautiful, very stout fish. Oh, and one gargantuan sucker!
