Notes
Water level above normal but by no means high and stained from a good thunderstorm the day before. Bugs present and active. Fishing was phenominal. Rod bent more than not with few dry spells lasting less than 5 minutes.
Fish still bit under cloud cover but became violent in the sunshine. All my scuds have a iridescent back to catch some of the light.
This trip of extrememly special because a +20" Rainbow came out of the depths to hid in the silt cloud I had created with my feet. He rested for a while before another angler's child asked their father to pick it up. Being between my legs, I offered to instead. He was so wide that a good grip was impossible on the first try. He didntt make it more than 2ft out of the water before a single tail flip launched him back into the water and off into darkness. He was old, battered and scarred.
