Notes

Crappie were very game within a few feet of the bank. Prefer a slowly moving target to a stationary one. If using a heavier bead head, 'palm crawl' it slowly. Better yet use a weightless nymph with a very slow sink. 1.5-3ft of water.

Attempted pure nymphing without indicator- still need practice. Some strikes by my timing is terrible without an indicator.

Once the sun dipped behind distance clouds after 8pm the trout went wild. breaching and bug sipping. Switched to dry fly and got many hits, only landed one.
