Notes

Very slow start. Wind was throwing flies in my face....couldn't dry fly fish with 4-weight, wind blew indicator when nymphing 6-weight, so I threw streamers for a little while and nothing. Finally wind died down and I started picking up fish on Chubbies. Fish were small and the majority of them I caught were in pocket water above rapids (aggressive dumb fish). I only picked up a few in the "good" riffles, runs, and pools. None on nymphs! Big boys weren't feeding. I spotted the 15" brown feeding on mayflies about two feet off the bank. I caught him first cast on a parachute adams. A small hatch of mayflies and caddis in the afternoon but little surface action. I think I missed the big feed by about a week. Reports from two weeks ago were 50 fish boated....reports from last week were 20+ fish boated. Lots of golden stones and other big dries at that time.....
