Notes

Typical weather in the Rockies, just wait 5 minutes! Breezy and warm in the morning, the wrath of God and his 'Hammer' deep in the canyon, cool, calm and overcast at the end of the day. Slow start in the morning, barometer all over the place, (impending doom.) Late afternoon the wind calmed down and the sun came back out, water warmed up and the bugs went off, along with the fish. Hit the most incredible electrical storm heading back to Steamboat. F.Y.I. ninety percent of the heavy timber along the Encampment is DEAD RED and ready to fall with the next 'Big' wind, so be really careful... we weren't sure which was more dangerous, the threat of lightning or a falling tree.
