Notes

Phenomenal fishing day.

Started with an egg/rs2 tandem rig and picked up a nice rainbow on the rs2 then a couple of big whitefish on the egg. Then I casted a woolly bugger quarter downstream and let it swing in the current. I picked up an 18" bow. Found a bunch of small trout rising in a back eddy taking midges. A renegade took these fish with easy..fast action. The last half hour before dark (4:30-5:00) I went back to the woolly bugger. Caught 4 fish in 30 minutes the smallest was 18" the biggest was a 25" Brown!. The brown was close to the bank and hit about 4 feet from me.

Great weather conditions (very warm for mid-November, no wind, cloudy) equals great fishing. In addition the road to hauser dam has been closed for the last mile almost all summer except to walking (and the sign yesterday said open to fishing on Weekends ONLY)....so much less pressure than normal....the worm slingers and metal chuckers haven't been pulling out all the big fish this year. I should have gone here more this year...I only went this once. (In the past I have typically only caught a couple or been skunked).
