Notes
Someone was already fishing the main pool from the hatchery outlet when we arrived so we started fishing the spillway riffles below the pool. Fishing was quite slow and I eventually walked up by Karl and started fishing a Booby Fly with a lot of weight 1' up from it into a school of small to medium-sized fish that were comically facing away from us at the tail of the main pool. The Booby fly did look great underwater, dipping and rising with each strip, but the fish would only look at the fly and chase it.
Eventually the guy fishing the main hole left and I started nymphing the outlet with a lot of weight. I caught many fish, mostly on the hare's ear, and had one fish on briefly that was very nice. Finally Karl and headed in to Hagerman for lunch and to fish the Tupper Grade section of Billingsley.
