Notes
Because of the pandemic, the van was not running which meant we either had to join the masses in section 1 or take the walk to sections 2/3/4. We decided to take the walk which turned out to be a mistake. I believe there was just as many people that way as on section 1. So, we ended up walking back and going to section 1 around 11 AM. Unfortunately, we were then fishing second-hand waters. I ended up catching 3 small ones and Tyler didn't catch anything. Obviously a very disappointing day for both of us.
Considering we were only at Smithgall for the first session, we had planned to explore Waters creek in the afternoon. We drove over there and found the WMA to be completely closed because of the pandemic. So, we left there and went to Smith Creek where we landed another 5 stockers.
Not a great day but good to finally get out of the house and catch a few fish. We did get our exercise; we ended up walking a total of 9.5 miles by the end of the day.
