Notes

Wow, what a day on the Nantahala!!

Our objective was to get Ethan a large trout; we accomplished that task before 10 AM. Tyler proceeded to catch 4 more in the 17-19" range (3 rainbows and 1 unicorn...I mean brook). The was the largest and most beautiful brook we've seen in person.

In between catching large trout, the two boys were consistently netting a ton of browns, brooks and rainbows.

Now, on to Fires creek tomorrow.

I forgot to mention; the Nantahala was so populated with people, we left at lunch to go try a new stream...Snowbird Delayed Harvest. Unfortunately, it took us until around 3 to find the delayed harvest section of the river. It is beautiful and probably would've produced a few more big fish but we didn't have time to explore all of the good holes. It looks like an awesome camping destination though...we will be back.
