Notes
Stopped here on the way to Lake Tahoe. Kim went for a longer hike through the Tuolomne Meadow, along the Lyell Fork of hte Tuolomne River. My first catch of the day was a small brook trout under an overhang. I snuck up and dabbed a small balck fly in the water and got one on my first try. The rest of the day was a lot of trying to unwravel my line from brush on the river bank, tying nots in my leader with poor casting, and generally making a mess of a beautiful spot. I finally settled down and found a large hole and caught four more in quick order. This spot was protected from the winds, which were about 10 knots, gusting to 20 or so. My casting was a bit more acceptable to the fish here. Still learning.
