Notes

The Sanctuary was closed. It was shoulder to shoulder fishing at the ferry, but there were tons of fish in the sactuary. They were running thick head to tail. It opens way early this year on Monday June 15th at 8:00am.

Fishing in the Russian River was hard work since everyone was bottle necking them at the 100 yard marker. I had to hike way upsteam and become a sockeye stalker. There was a sockeye about every 15 or 20 yards of river. I saw some pretty big bows in deep pools upstream from Pink Salmon parking lot.

The bottom line is that there was just way to many people to enjoy yourself. Even hiking way the hell upstream didn't get you away from the people.
