Notes

We started of the day stopping at the Big Gunpowder at Sparks Rd. Bridge and a little bit up stream saw a few 14" - 18" Trout but we spooked them into a tree root the water was down alot. I maneged to pull a little guy out 7"-9" (Brown Trout ). Then I went to Prettyboy Dam to try out some Bass , Large mouth or Smallies but yeilded not even a bite I didn't fish this area long due to the winds coming accross the point we were fishing. I tried a 1/4 oz. Spider Jig (Brown) with a dark Pork rind trailer and very slowly dragged the bottom with a small lift every now and then. Not a bite only snags in the very rockey bottom. I also used a 3/8 oz Bohya Chatter bait (Grey / Purple) with a Grey / Sparkles Traler split tail worm. I let the bait sink to the bottom and then I would lift and drop slowly with no hits aswell. My friend Whip used a 4'swim bait and a medium diving crank bait with no hit either. The Bass wern't bitting so we walked across the street and down below the dam and fished for Trout.
Good thing we did they were hitting great for about two houres. The dam wasn't pushing out alot of water so the gunpowder river was down below norm. We stood on the ledge right at the dam and got bite after bite on Spinners , Shad Darts with little worm trailer , and Trout magnets. Only caught two fish below the " plunge pool " because there wasn't alot of water or current.
