Notes

Eric and myself came down below the the dam to try our luck at the trout since the bass wern't biting above the dam we hoped to hook up down here. We started out slow, I caught 1 on the light blue power minnow by Berkley power baits on a 1/8 oz. jig head and I riped the front half of the minnow off to make the lure about 1 1/2" - 2" long. Then nothing untill I tried the mepps spinner #0 Silver blade caught 1 and then nothing again. I then went back to the Power Minnow and this time I put a medium size split shot about 18" up the line and then let the bait sink to the bottom. I then would bring it up about a foot so I wouldn't get snaged on Rocks or Branches and I would bounce it up and down with just the rod tip. I caught about 6 more and lost about 5.
